There are three collectible chests in the Southern Reach area, and you must obtain them all if you are aiming for 100% completion on the planet Koboh.
Also the Star Wars Jedi Survivor Southern Reach chests will reward you with two customization items and the Quick Draw blaster skill.
Note that the Quick Draw Chest requires you to have unlocked Flying Lunge and Efficient Heat Transfer in the Blaster skill tree. You must also have three skill points left.
It’s important to know that the chest from which you get the Quick Draw skill requires you to progress through the main story to unlock the Koboh Grinder for BD-1 and the Force Lift skill for Cal.
The Koboh Grinder is unlocked while completing the Reach the Devastated Settlement objective and Raise Power during Rescue Zee from the Lucrehulk.

Koboh Southern Reach Chests location map
First, it’s best to take a look at the Southern Reach map below, where we’ve marked the locations of the three collectibles found in the chests.

To proceed we will provide additional instructions and screenshots to make sure you don’t miss any of the chests.
Chest #1 (Full Beard): Next to a bush
For Chest Collectible #1 you should start at the Southern Reach Meditation Point, continue along the path and you will reach a slope.
Down the slope you will see a camp with a greenish roof, and the first chest will be waiting for you next to a bush on the right behind the building.

Chest #2 (Kashyyyk Paint Weapon Material): Behind a waterfall
upon receipt SW Jedi Survivor Southern Reach Chest #1, drop down the ledge next to the collectible and go straight to the second location on our map.
Soon you will see a waterfall on the right and a vine-covered wall on the left.
Climb the wall, cross the gap with the two metal bars and turn right to see the entrance to a cave.
Use your lightsaber to clear the path, then proceed to get to a metal pole that you use to jump over another gap.
Now turn left to see a waterfall with the second chest in the opening behind it.

Chest #3 (Quick Draw Skill): Inside a gray metal building
The last chest in the Southern Reach area is inside a gray metal building in the third location marked on the map above, near the gate to the Rambler’s Reach outpost.
However, once you enter said building you can see many thorns that you must eliminate if you want to get the last collectible.
To get rid of the brambles, you must first walk SW Jedi Survivor Rambler’s Reach Outpost Meditation Point and facing the settlement, turn left to see a vine-covered wall.
Climb up the wall and once at the top you can see a yellow gate in the distance as shown in the next image.

Go to the gate and use Force Lift to open it by pressing +
/
+
on your PlayStation/Xbox controller.
Then go inside and keep going forward until you reach a gap where you have to jump to the wall on the other side to get down safely with your lightsaber.
Now climb onto the round platform next to you and look for a slope leading up.
You have to go to the slope and jump to another round platform in front of it, but be careful because if you stand too much in the strange dust scattered around this room you will die.
When you’re on the second platform, face the direction you came from and look to the right to see an Orb device, just like the screenshot below.

Grab the ball with Force Pull (hold /
), then aim at the first platform and use Force Push (press
/
) to throw the ball there.
Then quickly jump back up the slope and grab the orb again to throw it into the socket on the first platform.
Now follow the beam that just appeared, which also revealed the exit, to eventually see it stop in an orange building next to the gray metal structure Star Wars Jedi Survivor Southern Reach Chest #3.
Next you need the help of BD-1, so press then down
left or right and
/
to select the Koboh Grinder (left icon on the left side of your screen).
finally holding /

If done correctly, a large explosion should remove the thorns and reveal the final chest.
