Elden Ring Sorceress Sellen Quest Locations: How To Complete

Sorceress Sellen is one elden ring NPCs that you will meet fairly early in the game as you explore the Limgrave region with a lengthy questline and loads of loot and lore associated with it.

Even though the Sorcerer Sellen quest line doesn’t unlock a special ending in the video game developed by FromSoftware like the Ranni the Witch and Dung Eater quest lines, it will reward you with new great looking armor sets and some powerful sorcery for your Tainted.

So in this guide we have all the steps you need to complete Sorceress Sellen Quest including all the items you need to collect and the NPCs you need to talk to.

Elden Ring Sorceress Sellen Quest – How to get started

You will first encounter her at the Waypoint Ruins in the Limgrave region, where she introduces herself as the Graven Witch.

In order to continue her quest, you must agree to study under her tutorship.

Learning new sorceries will allow you to engage in more dialogue with her, but that’s all for now.

Primeval Wizard Azure

After exhausting all dialogues, you must travel north of Hermit Village in the Mt Gelmir region, where you will meet an NPC known as Primeval Sorcerer Azur.

The primeval sorceress Azur used to be Sorceress Sellen’s teacher and must be found to continue her quest.

To reach this place you have to go around the volcano:

• Head to the Seethewater River Site of Grace, located west of Wyndham Ruins.
• Follow the river north, then west until you reach the Seethewater Terminus Site of Grace, located west of Fort Laiedd.
• Travel southwest and you should encounter the Magma Wyrm Boss (you can fight or avoid him).
• Head southeast past this boss on a ramp between the cliffs until you reach Craftsman’s Shack with the Site of Grace inside.
• East of the hut, up the hill and past the wooden barricades you will find the hermit village.
• Head north to find the primeval wizard Azur.

Primal Wizard Azure sits behind huge boulders next to the place of mercy he named.

He won’t say anything when you interact with him, but he will give you the Comet Azur Sorcery after a while.

After obtaining the Comet Azur Sorcery, return to Waypoint Ruins and speak to Sellen.

When you exhaust her dialogue, she will ask you a favor: find Master Lusat, who has been banished from the Academy and imprisoned in a place called Sellia in the eastern Caelid Wilds.

She will also give you the Sellian Sealbreaker key to cross the border that surrounds him.

Master Lusat

Master Lusat is located in the dungeon of Sellia Hideout (described in detail here) in northeast Caelid.

To reach the entrance, head north up the hill from the Church of the Plague Site of Grace and go right under the wooden arch.

You can reveal the secret entrance along the cliff behind the largest tombstone (defended by a wizard enemy) by rolling or hitting the illusory rock face.

Make your way through the dungeon by following the Sellia Hideaway location guide.

Once you reach the magic barrier, use the Sellian Sealbreaker key to open the room and interact with Master Lusat.

Without saying anything, the wizard hands you the Stars of Ruin Sorcery.

Return to Sorceress Sellen in the Waypoint Ruins and report Master Lusat’s whereabouts.

Witchbane Ruins

NOTE: To continue her quest, you must defeat Starscourge Radahn during the Ranni the Witch questline.

After defeating Starcourt Radahn, return to Sellen in the Waypoint Ruins and she will ask you to meet her in person at the Witchbane Ruins west of the Weeping Peninsula.

Witchbane Ruins are south of the Fourth Church of Marika.

You will find Sellen tied up when you enter the basement in the Witchbane Ruins.

Interact with her and she will ask you to transfer Sellen’s primordial Glintstone, which contains her life essence, to another body.

Seluvis’ Hidden Cellar

Once you’ve got Sellen’s Primal Glintstone, you’ll need to travel to the Three Sisters area in northern Liurnia of the Lakes.

You will find some ruins between Ranni’s Rise and Renna’s Rise.

Between the stone pillars in the ruins is an illusory floor that will reveal the hidden entrance to Seluvis’ hidden basement if you hit it or roll on the floor.

In it, Seluvis will leave a note on the floor: “Seluvis’ puppet. Do not touch.”

Next to the message is an illusory wall that will reveal Sorceress Sellen’s new body.

Interact with the body by transplanting Sellen’s Primal Glintstone to bring Sorceress Sellen back to life.

After speaking to her she will be back here selling magic and gone from the waypoint ruins.

Witch Hunter Jerren

Travel to Red Mane Castle in Caelid where Witch Hunter Jerren is now in the throne room and exhaust his dialogue.

If you’ve already exhausted all dialogue options, it may not appear here, and you can skip visiting Redmane Castle.

Return to the Witchbane Ruins and search the room with Sorceress Sellen for Witch-HunterJerren.

To advance the questline, you must exhaust his dialogue again.

NOTE: If it does not appear here, continue to the next step.

Academy Raya Lucaria

The final step in completing the Sorceress Sellen quest is to fast travel in the Raya Lucaria Academy Grand Library, the boss room of Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon.

From here, head out through the door to the east, and you’ll find two summoning tokens: gold and red.

Each summoning sign has a different outcome, so you must choose wisely.

Red Summoning Mark: Summon the witch hunter Jerren to defeat Sorcerer Sellen

After defeating Sorceress Sellen, you will be rewarded with the Witch’s Glitterstone Crown and Sellen’s Bell Camp.

Jerren Witch-Hunter stands in front of the Great Library next to his summoning shield.

Once you exhaust his dialogue, he will give you an Ancient Dragonforge Stone.

Since there is no other purpose to keep the witch hunter Jerren alive, you can kill him to get the Eccentric Armor Set.

NOTE: If you choose to kill Sellen, you will not be able to get Azur’s Glintstone set and Lusat’s set.

Golden Summoning Token: Summons Sorcerer Sellen to defeat Witch Hunter Jerren

After defeating the witch hunter Jerren, you will be rewarded with the eccentric armor set.

Sorcerer Sellen will take Rennala’s place in the library.

Once you’ve exhausted her dialogue, she’ll give you the Glintstone Kris Dagger and Shard Spiral Sorcery will be available for purchase in her shop.

After exhausting Sellen’s dialogue in the Raya Lucaria Academy Great Library, reload the area (rest at the nearby Place of Grace) and watch her transformation.

Next to her you will find the Witch Glintstone Crown and Rennala will return to her original place.

NOTE: Sorceress Sellen stays in the Great Library of Raya Lucaria Academy until you find Master Lusat in the Sellia Safehouse dungeon.

After Sellen’s transformation, you can revisit the corpses of Primal Wizard Azur and Master Lusat to obtain Azur’s Shimmerstone Set and Lusat’s Set.
